What's an easy, traditional, and tasty chinese recipe?

I have to make something chinese for 40 people for multicultural club. It should be tasty, easy, and something NOT OBVIOUS TO THE CULTURE (ex: fried rice and won-tons). Thanks. What's an easy, traditional, and tasty chinese recipe?
Here are a couple of good ones:

Chinese Lemon Chicken

Ingredients

1. 1 pound boneless chicken, cut into strips

2. 3 scallions, chopped

3. 1 small piece of ginger, shredded

4. 2 tablespoons dry sherry

5. 1 green bell pepper, sliced

6. 2 tablespoons soy sauce

7. 1 lemon rind, grated

8. 1 piece of celery, sliced

9. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

10. lemon slices for garnish

11. Cooked rice

Mix the sherry, onions, and ginger. Add chicken and marinate for 15 minutes. Heat the oil on medium high in a skillet or wok and stir fry the green pepper and celery for 2 minutes. Add the chicken and marinade and stir fry for 4 more minutes. Add the lemon and soy and cook for 1-2 more minutes. Serve over rice and garnish with lemons.

Szechwan Shrimp

Ingredients

* Another option is to add steamed vegetables and double the sauce. Omit the pepper if you don鈥檛 like spicy foods

1. 4 tablespoons water

2. 2 tablespoons ketchup

3. 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce

4. 2 teaspoons cornstarch

5. 1 teaspoon honey

6. 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper

7. 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

8. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

9. 1/4 cup sliced green onions

10. 4 cloves garlic, minced

11. 12 ounces cooked shrimp, tails removed (use raw, but if using cooked, do not keep cooking after adding)

12. Cooked White Rice

Stir together water, ketchup, soy sauce, cornstarch, honey, crushed red pepper, and ground ginger. Set aside. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in green onions and garlic; cook 30 seconds. Stir in shrimp, and toss. Stir in sauce. Stir while cooking until shrimp is done and sauce is thick. Serve with rice
