I picked these up while I was in Taiwan. They so good.



Seafood Congee



1 1/2 c rice

6 c broth

10 ea shrimps, shelled and deveined

4 T oysters

20 pcs clams

20 pcs fish curd

20 pcs sliced squid

1 T salt

1/2 T dried bonito

chinese celery



Rinse rice until water runs clear. Add broth and cook until rice is sticky and cooked.



De-vein and clean shrimp, leaving the tail attached. Clean all other shellfish. Clean and slice Squid.



Blanch the shrimps, oysters, clams fish curd, and sliced squid. Add the rice/broth mixture. Stir to mix well. Add salt and Bonito flakes. Bring back to a boil then turn off heat. Transfer to serving bowl and garnish with celery just before serving.

Peas Pogoda



10 oz frozen peas, cooked and drained

1/4 c Water

1 1/2 t Chicken broth

1/4 t Ginger

1/2 t Sugar

1 T Oil

5 oz water chestnuts, sliced

4 oz mushrooms, sliced

1 1/2 t Cornstarch

1 T Soy sauce



Heat all ingredients except cornstarch and soy sauce. Stir in cornstarch and soy sauce until thick.
