My boyfriend and I used to live in China and the food there was absolutely AMAZING. Now we are back in America and we can't find anything near as good, so we want to try and make some authentic dishes ourselves. Problem is, almost every site on the internet only has the "westernized" recipes like you find in Chinese restaurants. I am looking for a source of recipes that are actually great and use Chinese ingredients in them. We have a large oriental market near where we live so finding ingredients isn't a problem. We will try anything at this point, as long as it doesn't involve organ meat (he's not a fan). But Mutton, chicken, pork, beef, ANYTHING, almost any part (feet, tongue, whatever) as long as it's tasty :)
Thank you for your help.True, authentic Chinese recipes?

Sometimes, when you go to Chinese restaurants, you can ask if they can make authentic Chinese food. Where i live, the restaurants have a "secret menu" filled with authentic dishes :) you just have to ask.
